Join an exciting series of Organic Gardening Classes held Sunday afternoons April 19 through June 14 at the Chico Grange Hall, organized by David Grau, long time local organic gardener and toolmaker.

Experienced local organic farmers and gardeners are presenting talks on tomatoes,composting, irrigation systems, flowers, chickens, and vegetable production. These folks have dirt under their fingernails.  The fact that they are speaking from their experience makes the sessions useful and exciting whether you are new to gardening or an old hand.

STREAM RESTORATION PROJECTS IN BIDWELL PARK AND LINDO CHANNEL--FIELD TRIP

This tour will explore two projects that use native plants to stop stream bank erosion and create habitat. Since 1989 STREAMINDERS has worked on a number of projects around Chico. Come explore the various native plants used to create habitat in some of our beautiful public spaces. Discussions will include problem solving, goals and planting techniques. (Limited enrollment, Additional Fee)
